Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)
Our most popular hair transplant technique at The Growth Clinic is Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), which involves removing individual hair follicles from the back of the head.
Our gentle numbing techniques ensure that you are comfortable throughout the procedure. When the area is numb, we use a small specialised device to carefully remove individual grafts. Once the grafts are removed they are expertly trimmed and prepared. Finally, we create precise micro-incisions in the target area and then place the grafts.
Treatment Process
Is FUE for me?
Hair loss type: FUE is suitable for most types of hair loss.
Level of comfort: Before your procedure, we'll ensure that you are relaxed and comfortable. We will then carefully apply local anaesthetic to the target area to induce numbness.
Scaring: FUE leaves micro dot like scars along the back of your head. However, these typically aren't visible if your hair is worn above grades 1-2.
Recovery: The back of your head will begin to improve after 3 days and most other visible signs will have disappeared after 2-3 weeks.
Regrowth: You can expect initial hair regrowth after 6 months and final results after 12-18 months.
